The Management Committee of Wellhouse Housing Association approved a rent increase of 3.3% on 29 January 2025, following consultation with tenants. This increase was required to ensure we can continue to invest in and improve your homes and the estate, and deliver the services required, to you. This increase is in line with the Association’s Business Plan.
We had 160 responses to our survey and 140 of those did not support the increase, 9 supported an increase of 3.3%, 6 an increase of 4.3% and 5 supported an increase but did not say what increase should be. 45 respondents also included comments, which were considered by our Committee when they decided on the increase. However, we must balance the desire for low rents with the need to ensure your homes are kept to a good standard, our services can be maintained and our business viability.
All tenants will receive an individual letter in due course, and we will advise Glasgow City Council Housing Benefit Service of the increases.
