Regulation & Performance
Each year we, like all Registered Social Landlords, are required to complete an Annual Return (known as the ARC) to the Scottish Housing Regulator which allows them to measure performance in a variety of areas and compare this with other RSL’s.
You can read our latest Landlords Report that provides an overview of how we performed.
You can view further information and a full copy of our ARC here https://www.scottishhousingregulator.gov.uk/find-and-compare-landlords/wellhouse-housing-association-ltd as well as using the comparison tool to compare performance of other RSL’s.
The Association is also required to submit information on our Financial position throughout the year to the SHR, Annual Returns to OSCR & FCA, a Financial Assessment to the Pensions Trust and quarterly and annual accounts to our Banks.
Scottish Housing Charter
As required by section 31 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2010, the Scottish Ministers, in this Scottish Social Housing Charter, set the standards and outcomes that all social landlords should aim to achieve when performing their housing activities.
The first Charter came into effect on 1 April 2012 and was reviewed during 2016. This revised Charter was approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament on 8th February, has effect from 1 April 2017 and continues to apply until the Parliament approves a further revised Charter.

Scottish Housing Regulator
The Scottish Housing Regulator’s role is to protect the interests of tenants, homeless people and others who use the housing services of councils, housing associations, co-ops and other social landlords.
If you are dissatisfied with our service then you should let us know and we will investigate and let you know our decision. If you remain dissatisfied then you can contact the Scottish Housing Regulator to report a significant performance failure.
The Scottish Housing Regulator published their Report on statutory intervention at Wellhouse Housing Association in June 2017 and is available on their website.
Their Regulator Framework explains how RSL’s are regulated and is available at their website on www.scottishhousingregulator.gov.uk
