I write to advise that Wellhouse Housing Association is changing the way we allocate our available homes.

After consultation with applicants, residents and our Management Committee, approval was granted for us to join a Common Housing Register with Easthall Park Housing Co-operative, Gardeen Housing Association, Calvay Housing Association and Lochfield Park Housing Association.

That means we will no longer be using a Choice Based Lettings allocation system, and the available properties will not be advertised for you to make a bid.

Our aim is to move to the Common Housing Register waiting list from Tuesday 3rd April 2018, but further information will be available on our website, and on our Facebook page advising of any changes to the dates we will use the Choice Based Lettings allocation policy.

Applicants will be placed into a group plus points system based on their housing need, the groups are:

  • Homelessness
  • Urgent Needs
  • Overcrowded
  • Unsatisfactory Housing
  • Transfers
  • General Needs
  • Care & Support
  • Aspirational

We will publish what percentage of our lets will be given to each group on our website from April 2018.

What that means for your application is, it will be reviewed, pointed and grouped according to the Common Housing Allocations Policy we will share with the above housing providers.

If you want to remain on our housing list, then please call us on 0141 781 1884 with your name and address, and we will arrange for a new Common Housing Application form to be sent out, or send an email to info@wellhouseha.org.uk with the heading ‘Allocations Review’.

You must then complete and return the new application form with the information requested (we may have some information with your current application) to allow us to point and group your application correctly.

If you do not respond to this letter by Friday 23rd March 2018, we will write to you again advising that if you fail to respond to the second review letter, your application for housing with us will be cancelled.

If you have any questions please give us a call.
